​​The Radiation Safety and Nuclear Security Act (Act No. 16 of 2018) was proclai​​med on 19 March 2019. The Act makes provisions for the protection of people and the environment from the harmful effects of ionising radiation and also establis​​hes th​​e Radiation Safety and Nucle​ar Security Authority as an independent regulatory body to regulate all practices involving sources of ionising radiation.​ class="ms-rteFontFace-5 ms-rteFontSize-3"/>Please click here to download a copy of the Act.​
